Gal Gadot has been cast as Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt in an upcoming Paramount film.
The film, which will be directed by Patty Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman, from a script by Laeta Kalogridis, the creator of Netflix’s renowned series Altered Carbon.

Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt appeared in dozens of Hollywood movies and books, from biographies to historical novels to science fiction. Decades ago, Elizabeth Taylor cast the Egyptian queen as a heavily eyeliner-ed seductress.
