Japan is set to implement many rules and tests to tackle the Tokyo Olympics amidst the ongoing global pandemic.
The Japanese government is trying to find a fine balance between hosting the games and managing pandemic concerns.

Only 7% of Japanese are currently vaccinated today, mainly due to slow rollouts and resistance from the people.
While the Japanese government is speeding up vaccination drives across the country, the vast majority will not be fully vaccinated by the opening of the Olympics.
Even though Japan will permit some local fans to attend the games, overall responds may be curtailed due to the lack of travellers.
