Ned Desmond, the COO of influential tech media website, TechCrunch, is leaving the company.
The news broke when he penned a special announcement on the TechCrunch website earlier today.
In his statement, Ned Desmond mentioned that he will be leaving the company to pursue his own side projects, and that he will effectively leave the company from 21st August.

Moving forward, his role will be replaced by Matthew Panzarino, the current editor-in-chief, and Joey Hinson, director of business operations.
TechCrunch today has grown to become one of the most influential tech news websites in the world, garnering more than 20 million monthly readers.
Through their initiatives, the they have helped 902 companies raise over $9 billion in funding, and played a part in the formation of 115 exits over the years.
