Taiwan achieves a record of 200 days without any local transmitted cases of Covid-19 on Thursday.
The last locally transmitted case was recorded by Taiwan’s Centre of Disease Control on 12 April 2020.
Since the start of the global pandemic, Taiwan only recorded 553 cases and 7 deaths. with comparison to 9.2million cases and 234K+ deaths in the US, Taiwan has been a success story in how to respond to the pandemic.
Public has been playing a role in helping government’s effort battle the pandemic such as practicing social distancing, wearing masks and wash their hands often.
On the other hand, USA is currently having their President election. The public is very concerned about the spread of the virus in the rallies they are holding in the country.
