The Final Fantasy VII Remake won the Best RPG game at The Game Awards in 2020, leaving die-hard fans waiting for part 2.
During the announcement, there was no mention of the FF7R part 2, but instead, Square Enix went ahead to announce 3 more games surrounding FF7.

Added new story content featuring Yuffie’s story-line and PS5 upgrade, is expected to arrive in October 2021.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis
A scaled-down remake of FF7 featuring a turn-based battle system made for iOS & Android, is expected to arrive in 2022.
Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier
A FPS battle royale game set in Midgar before the events of FF7, due for iOS and Android in 2021.
According to Tetsuya Nomura, the company aims to release FF7R part 2 “as soon as possible”.
Until then, these 3 upcoming games will quench the thirst of the fans.
