In March, the lively track was released on all major streaming platforms. The duo sings about not being envious and seeing women as “one of the boys” throughout the song.

With thick electronic beats, colourful synths, and clap percussions, ‘Homies’ has a groovy trap beat.

Homies are the result of the writings of the two rappers who highlight their experiences hanging out with friends.

“I got inspired by SonaOne’s demonstration and wrote about my daily routine back in my hometown in Himeji.”

Japanese artiste, Shurkn Pap

“This is a party-ready track when you just want to have some good time with your friends, whether you’re on the street in Kuala Lumpur or somewhere in the Japanese countryside.”

Malaysian rapper and producer, SonaOne.

The collaboration also a part of the Future Shock project in order to bridge cultures and heritages across Asia.

Apart from SonaOne and Shurkn Pap, the Future Shock project has brought together more than ten musicians from all around Asia, each with their own unique background and energy, to bpm plus asia with the hopes of connecting Asian artists and showcasing the next generation.
