Airlines such as AirAsia and Malindo Airlines had established their presence in Malaysia’s aviation industry. However, a new airline named SKS Airways has emerged to join in the competition.
SKS Airways was first established in Malaysia on 13 November 2017. SKS Airways represents a part in SKS Group, an organization branching out different businesses including investment holding, property development, hospitality and more.
SKS Airways was first awarded an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC), which authorizes an operator to carry out commercial air travel operations, also granted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia on October 1st 2021.
As of this year, the Malaysian Aviation Commission awarded a full Air Service License (ASL) to SKS Airways. The Air Service License is required for airlines involved in transporting passengers and cargo or reward by air between destinations within Malaysia’s borders.

SKS Airways provides domestic commuter flights to underserved destinations. Their operation would be focused on popular island-based resorts and major cities within Peninsular Malaysia such as Pulau Pangkor and Pulau Redang.
