Sinovac recipients who are yet to obtain their booster shot will lose their fully vaccinated status on 1st April

Approximately 2 million Sinovac users will lose their fully vaccinated status if they don’t get a booster according to the Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin. This comes after the Health Ministry decides to revoke the vaccination certificate for those who received only the first two doses of the Sinovac vaccine.

The other criterion of those who will likely lose their vaccination status is those above 60 any haven’t completed their booster shot. This will encompass those who received Phizer, AstraZeneca and other vaccines.

Khairy also brought up his discussions with Singapore’s health ministry stating, “Based on my discussion with the Singapore Health Minister, he said the country would also consider those Sinovac recipients who are not boosted as not fully vaccinated.”

Recently, two brothers were also denied entry to Germany due to their Sinovac vaccine. This led to Khairy Jamaluddin seeking clarification from the European Union on its stance for Sinovac recipients.
