Over 25,000 people gathered for a massive prayer session in the capital of Bangladesh on Wednesday (18th March).
The crowd gathered to pray “healing verses” from the Koran, according to local police chief, Tota Miah.
He also added that organisers did not get permission from authorities to hold the session, while many others took the opportunity to head to tourism sites.

Photos of the gathering were shared widely across social media, with commenters expressing anger over the rally.
“Unbelievable how they even have done it without notifying the police? They will be held responsible if anything happens to the people in the region”, a Facebook user, Abdul Rahman posted.
