North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Un, is possibly in a coma according to a South Korean diplomat.

The South Korean diplomat, Chang Song-min, claimed that North Korea has been hiding the truth about its leader’s deteriorating health, Daily Mail reports.

Speculation over Kim’s true health condition has been mounting due to the lack of public appearances this year. It is also understood that the North Korean leader had undergone surgery earlier this year after collapsing during a countryside visit.

Earlier this week, Kim Jong-un had also promoted his sister to second-in-command of North Korea, making her the most powerful lady in the country.

Her brother still maintains ‘absolute authority’ over the country, but has delegated a large part of his responsibilities to her in order to alleviate his ‘stress’ of ruling.

“A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo-jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period”, mentions Chang Song-min
