Just yesterday (28 Sept), Malaysia recorded 150 new cases, where 146 are local infections. A new cluster has also been discovered in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, according to a report from The New Straits Times.

New cases have also been appearing all over the country in areas such as Sabah, Johor, Kedah, and now Kuala Lumpur. The situation has been worsening at an alarming rate in Sabah, having registered 124 new cases in the past 24 hours.
If the outbreak continues to spiral out of control, there is a possibility that the country could enter a second lock-down, which could be devastating to the economy.
“People have started to take things too lackadaisically, ignoring SOPs and breaking RMCO protocols. This irresponsibility is what will cause the situation to worsen, and to a point where a second lock-down would be necessary”, mentioned a netizen in his 50s.
