Some celebrities in the country even took the matter to their social media profiles, bashing her for her insensitive remarks.

Since the incident, it is reported that several brands and organizations that used to work with the former champion are now withdrawing their support as well.

The terms “Samantha” and “Miss Universe Malaysia” have also climbed to number two and three on Malaysia’s Twitter trends list as of yesterday evening.
