A Southern California car maker, Hyperion builds an insane cutting edge hydrogen-powered EV supercar called XP-1 Prototype.

The supercar is developed with ex-NASA engineers and current space technologies where the company was founded nearly a decade ago by a team of PhDs , the car offers a claimed 2.2-second sprint to 100km/h.

Hyperion hopes to help consumers embrace the electric car market and the car can be recharged in less than 5 minutes
However, the commercialization of hydrogen-powered vehicles is still an unknown bet as the larger hurdles to mass hydrogen acceptance is a lack of low-cost hydrogen fuel stations and the current inability to provide home fueling.
