A group of drone enthusiasts in Indonesia are putting their skills at good use by providing contactless medicine and lifelines to patients.
The team of 7 with 5 drones have been operating in Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi since early July 2021 — making at least 5 rounds of deliveries a day.

Since the pandemic began, the country has recorded more than 4 million infections. Many cities, including Makassar have imposed movement restrictions.
Due to this and geographic difficulties, many citizens are out of reach in getting food and support.
The mayor of Makassar said that authorities have plans to expand the use of drones to nearby islands in Makassar.
