Chinese automaker Hongqi unveils its first hypercar – Hongqi S9, designed by legendary designing firm Silk-FAW.
The hypercar can sprint from 0-100km/h in 1.9 seconds, with the top speed of 400km/h thanks to its 1400hp hybrid drive-train that pairs with a V8 turbo engine and 3 electric motors.
Silk-FAW is an Italian firm led by Walter De Silva, who also designed stunning Audi R8, Lamborghini Egoista, and VW Scirocco.
Hongqi is one of China’s best established automaker founded in 1958.
Only 99 Hongqi S9 hypecars will made and the first batch is expected to be delivered in 2022 with a price tag of US$1.45 million.
