Severe flash floods hit Malaysia’s capital earlier today.

Heavy rains that lasted several hours resulted in drainage and rivers to overflow, spilling into the streets, submerging vehicles and buildings.

At about 6pm today, people at the scene started circulating videos and photographs of the situation on social media.

At this point in time (8pm), it is still uncertain to how much damage has been caused from this.

“We are still monitoring the situation and will update the press from time to time”, mentioned a spokesperson from the fire department.
