Green Day, Westlife and DJ Marshmello are set to perform at the Padang stage at this year’s Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, which will take place from Sep 30 to Oct 2.

This is the first round of confirmed artists for the event.

The final lineup will feature more than 75 performances spread across eight stages, with additional performers to be announced in the coming weeks, organisers said last Monday.

Marshmello, best known for smash songs like Alone, Friends, and Happier, will take the stage on September 30.

Westlife, the Irish boyband, last Singapore’s performance was in 2019. More than 20,000 people packed the National Stadium to witness the band as part of their 20th anniversary tour.

On October 1, fans may see the four-man group’s The Wild Dreams Tour at the Padang Stage Zone 4.

Green Day will perform on the last day, October 2. The punk band was supposed to perform in Singapore in April of last year, but it was pushed back from its initial March 2020 date. It was, however, cancelled because to the COVID-19 pandemic.

They last performed in Singapore in 2010 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

All Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix tickets will include admission to the Padang Stage in Zone 4.

Organisers also revealed that more tickets will be made available, following the original sale in early April, which sold out in hours. Additional walkabout and single-day grandstand tickets will be available.

Zone 4 and premium walkabout tickets will go on sale on Tuesday at 10 am. These will be offered as single-day tickets beginning at S$98 for a Friday Zone 4 Walkabout ticket and increasing to S$288 for three-day tickets.

According to the organisers, all walkabout ticket holders will have access to “strategically situated viewing bleachers as well as concerts on the Padang Stage.”

Single-day grandstand tickets will be available for a limited time beginning at 10 am on Thursday. Tickets for the Bay Grandstand start at S$98.
