Golden Skies Ventures (GSV), a private held investment firm has offered $2.5 billion in order to fully take over Malaysia Airlines, with financing from a European bank.
GSV made the proposal a month ago.

GSV also has a commitment from a Japanese private equity firm to invest immediate funds through an equity deal. However, the names of other firms involved were undisclosed.
GSV has submitted its proposal to Morgan Stanley, the banker hired by MAS’s sole owner Khazanah Nasional Bhd.
Morgan Stanley and Khazanah have not given any comment on the proposal.
