The Summer heatwave in Dubai is causing the city to become so hot that its temperatures regularly surpass 120F (50 °C).
Due to that, The UAE has resolved to tackling the heatwave by creating its own artificial rain using drones that fly into clouds and unleash electrical charges to increase the clumping of clouds (hence producing rain).
The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology released video footage shows monsoon-like downpours across the country.
The UAE is one of the driest countries on Earth, and it hopes the technology could help to increase its annual rainfall.
