The global pandemic has had a devastating effect on the retail industry.
Delicious Group, an F&B chain that has been operating for over 20 years in Malaysia, is one of its recent casualties.
In a post on Facebook yesterday, the company announced that they will be closing down all their outlets across Malaysia, exiting from the F&B scene.
The business originally started out as a small cafe inside the MS READ boutique at 1 Utama Shopping Centre .
It was started by Benjamin Yong, his mother, Helen Read, and her best friend, Abby Leong.

Since then, multiple outlets have been opened across Klang Valley, garnering a large following.
While the business tried to prolong its operations a little longer to support its staff and loyal patrons, it turns out that the effects of the pandemic has rendered the business unsustainable, inevitably forcing the closures.
There’s more to the background of the founders with respect to the other f&b outlets and food stores they founded. The story is incomplete. Is this the date of the others too? Or a matter of having to sacrifice some for the survival of others?
*erratum “is the fate of others too?”
