A popular vlogger from China was set on fire by her ex-husband while she was live-streaming on famous social media platform, Douyin (China’s version of TikTok).
The 30-year old lady, also known as Lamu, passed away 2 weeks later, on Wednesday (Sept 30th), after suffering burns on 90 per cent of her body, according to Beijing Youth Daily.
It was reported that Lamu’s ex-husband, also known as Tang, broke into the vlogger’s house and held her down with a knife before pouring gasoline over her body, which he later lit on fire.
He was apparently infuriated after Lamu initiated a divorce for the second time. The couple has two sons.

The incident on Sept 14 triggered massive outrage across social media platforms in China on the issue of domestic violence.
Some of her 885,000 followers on Douyin said they saw the screen go black before hearing her screams.
In Lamu’s last video posted on the day of the attack, she was seen performing a traditional Tibetan song to thank her fans.
