China Chang’e 5 probe has completed its 23-day lunar mission and returned safely to Earth.
The return is part of a four decade expedition to collect lunar samples for research.
The space capsule landed in northern China’s Inner Mongolia region on Thursday, according to Xinhua news, making China the third country in the world to achieve such a feat.

The Chang’e 5 probe was launched from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on November 24th, 2020.
It touched down on the moon a week later and became the first space probe created by humans to land on the far side of the moon.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has long been planning for China’s “space dream”, and hopes to eventually send humans to the Moon.
And Covid landed into the Moon….
“China’s inner Mongolia”…says a lot, doesn’t it?
