Heads of the Chinese and Russian space agencies signed an agreement that the 2 countries will jointly build lunar station.
According to the signed MOU, the 2 countries will work together on creation of an “International Lunar Science Station” and welcome other countries to participate.

The lunar station will be used to carry out various scientific research, marking one huge step forward for lunar exploration involving 2 superpowers.
The station could potentially be located at the South Pole of the Moon according to China.
China has disclosed its long term ambitions to make presence on the Moon in the 2030s after becoming the first country to bring back moon rock in 4 decades.
