China has announced that the country has administered over 1,010,489,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of Saturday.
China’s National Health Commission (NHC) said that 500 million doses have been administered in just the past month — that’s half of the global total during the same period.
The country’s current pace of 20 million vaccinations per day is way higher than 3 million a day in the United States, even after adjustments to population ratio.
The country is aiming to have 40% of the population fully vaccinated by the end of June 2021.
