Marine biology student, Lawrence Scheele, has spotted thousands of alien-like blue creatures being washed up on the Australian shores along the east coast.

These creatures are known as Blue Dragon or by scientific name, Glaucus Atlanticus, a type of rare sea slug.

The Blue Dragons are usually found floating in the remote ocean and swimming upside down to show off their bizarre colours.

The fleet of Blue Dragons being washed up to the shores were believed to have been affected by the wind.

The Blue Dragons can cause a painful sting if touched.
