Malaysian badminton player, Lee Zii Jia, has earned a gold medal in the All England Badminton Championship men’s singles.
Lee Zii Jia became Malaysians’ new shinning star, preceding former champion, Lee Chong Wei, who retired in 2019.

Lee Zii Jia played against Viktor Axelsen of Denmark in Birmingham and won with 30-29, 20-22, 21-9.

He was born in 1998 in Alor Setar, Kedah, and turns 22 this coming 29th March.
He was first introduced to badminton by his parents at the age of 5.
Lee was also the men’s singles gold medalist of the 2019 Southeast Asian games.
