Apple has started rolling out its latest iOS update (iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5) with several useful software updates.
One of the updates users are most excited about is the ability to unlock their devices using Face ID even with their masks on.

Apple Watch makes this possible
The new feature allows users to unlock their phones with Face ID even with their masks on, provided they are already wearing an activated Apple Watch on their wrist.
Prior to this, people had to key in their pass codes or remove their masks to unlock their devices.

Software Update is available today
Several gadget reviewers have tested the new feature and found it just as effective as unlocking the phone without a mask.
The new update also includes a new privacy feature, ton of new emojis, and under the hood fixes.
The update is now available in the “Software Update” section of the “Settings” page starting from today.
