BEAMSTART, a social networking app for working professionals, is now paying users when others chat with them or engage with their content they post.
The app works just like many social networking apps, but with a slight twist — BEAMSTART users accumulate points when:
- Another user starts chatting with them for the first time (5 – 10 points worth US $0.50 – $1.00)
- Another user sends them an online tip (35 – 330 points worth US $3.50 – $33.00)
Points accumulated can then be converted to cash and withdrawn to their local bank accounts once a minimum threshold of $10 is reached.
According to COO of BEAMSTART, Wallace Ho, he mentions that this initiative was rolled out to empower more professionals in growing their influence and income online, especially in this new post-pandemic world.
