Some stunning photographs have been captured as of late, showing the moon surrounded by a huge beautiful halo ring.
One of such photographers is Alberto Ghizzi Panizza.
The phenomenon happens when light is reflected off a thin cloud of ice crystals high up in the earth’s atmosphere.

The ice crystals act like a lens that reflects off natural light to form a multi-colored ring which is similar to rainbow forming in physics.
According to scientists, this phenomenon is not extremely uncommon, just hardly noticed by people as they rarely look up to the sky.
