Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, the CEO of AirAsia Group, considers that the ‘app’ would grow to be one of Asia’s biggest food delivery, ride-hailing and online travel company all-in-one.

As stated by Fernandes, “This presents itself at a right time of the company’s successful acquisition of Delivereat, a local online food delivery service.”

He also added, “I always wondered if we could become the world’s largest airline when AirAsia was founded with just two planes. Now, we are the fourth largest airline in Asia and have grown to over 90 million passengers.”

Fernandes stated that the app’s entire suite of features will be extended out in the near future to Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

With a larger staff, the CEO stated that the group is “very delighted” about the new relationship since it advances the firm’s vision of continuing to serve the underprivileged and become ASEAN’s greatest value delivery organisation.
