Ranjitsinh Disale, a teacher from Zilla Parishad Primary School in India has won 2020 Global Teacher Prize and gives away half of the prize.
The prize money was US$ 1million, the teacher decided to give away half of the amount sharing it with runners-up in the competition.

Disale has been praised in promoting education for girls in his district. He is best known for adding QR codes to textbooks of primary classes to provide links to audio poems, video lectures, stories and assignments.
He also provides online science lessons in 83 countries and operates an international project building connections between young people in conflict zones.
