Tim Cook Apple Adoption iOS 13 News Asia Today

Apple has revealed that over 92% of all iPhones released in the last 4 years have updated to their latest operating system, iOS 13.

This is a higher adoption percentage than iOS 12, which had a 90% adoption during the same time last year.

Apple also revealed that only 7% of the devices presently use iOS 12, which brings the total adoption close to 99% on the latest 2 OS versions for devices rolled out in the last 4 years.

The figure is also vastly ahead of users on Android phones, where most of them have yet to update to the latest version of the operating system, Android 10.

92% of Apple devices are now on iOS 13.

As of May 2020, only 8.2% of Android devices are on Android 10, with only 31.3% on the second-latest version, Android Pie.

And it’s vastly ahead of the percentage of Android users who’ve been able to upgrade to the latest version of Google’s operating system.

Adoption of the latest Android OS version lags far behind partly due to the vast number of devices circulated around the world.
