A baby male giant panda cub has been born at a zoo Western Japan’s Wakayama Prefecture on Sunday.
The Adventure World theme park located in the town of Shirahama said that its female giant panda Rauhin gave birth to the baby male cub, it’s also her first delivery in two years.
The baby panda is 20.5 cm long and weighs 157 grams, the cub and his 20-year-old mother are both in good health.
The cub’s father is a 28-year-old panda named Eimei, broke the world record of being the oldest male giant panda in captivity that had a cub through natural breeding. He is in his 80s in human terms.
